Being part of a theatre production is an experience like no other. The thrill of stepping onto the stage, the excitement of performing for a live audience, and the camaraderie among cast and crew make it a truly unforgettable experience. As an actor in the My Fair Lady theatre production, I can attest to all of these aspects and more.

The My Fair Lady production premiered at the Serena Hotel Kampala and went on to perform at the Uganda National Theatre. Produced by Timeless Events and directed by Director Aganza Kisaka, it was a grand undertaking that required months of preparation, rehearsals, and hard work.

My role in the production was twofold: I played George the bartender and Zoltan Karpathy in matinee shows. Each character presented unique challenges and required a different approach to bring them to life on stage. As George, I had to embody the laid-back charm of a pub owner, while as Zoltan, I had to exude the energy of a Hungarian.

One of the most memorable aspects of the production was the collaborative effort that went into bringing it to life. From the cast to the crew, everyone worked together tirelessly to ensure that the show was a success. Rehearsals were intense and demanding, but they were also filled with laughter and pressure as we worked together to perfect our performances.

As we prepared for the opening night, there was a palpable sense of excitement and nervous energy in the air. The adrenaline rush of performing for a live audience was unlike anything I had ever experienced before. The energy of the audience was electric, and their reactions to the performances only added to the excitement.

Throughout the run of the show, we faced our fair share of challenges – like technical difficulties – but we persevered and delivered a memorable performance every night. The support and encouragement of the cast and crew helped us to overcome these obstacles and deliver a show that we were all proud of.

As the final curtain fell on the last performance, there was a bittersweet feeling among the cast and crew. We had poured our hearts and souls into the production, and it was sad to see it come to an end. However, we were also proud of what we had accomplished and grateful for the memories and friendships that we had forged along the way. Later we got more Four extra shows due to public Demand .

Being part of the My Fair Lady theatre production was an experience that I will always cherish. It taught me the importance of hard work, collaboration, and perseverance, and gave me an appreciation for the art of theatre that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
